Maria
Parete (nee Di Domenico)
February 20, 1920 – August 30, 2019
About 51 yrs. ago I met my wonderful, trustworthy, generous man! We dated for approx 8 months before he introduced me to his beautiful family.
Our Sundays consisted of him helping his mother in the grocery store while she cooked Sunday dinners for her family every week. He worked as an accountant during the week, and he felt he needed to be there on the weekends to take his turn.
The first time I met Maria & Rosario was with warm feeling immediately! I wasn't sure how this Italian family would accept the skinny, young Canadian girl from Windsor. (not being Italian decent or from Amherstburg(
Well! There is no words to say: except they opened their arms & feelings like when a bird opens their wings to fly!
Maria & Rosario was the most giving, grateful, heart-warm, generous individuals that you could meet. Not just with family members, but friends and anyone they came in contact with.
They have shown my husband to be a gentleman, great husband, father, grandfather and mostly an very confident individual.
These qualities have made our life beautiful! Our family, friends, co-workers, officials trust him with the most respect! This is what was taught by Maria: to show Love, Respect & Family!
We have all had the honour to be a part of Maria’s life whether family, or friends. She was the Monarchy of her family. With this, she has taught many of us how to Love one another, Respect yourself & others, Be Proud of what you accomplish in life not thru money or material items, but as an child of God!
Maria: you will me missed by family and any person who was lucky to have crossed your path!
As we close the book on your life! Please know we will miss you, but know your wishes where met ( stayed at home) brings your family great peace!
Until we meet again, say hello to my parents, friends & all our relatives who have crossed over! May you show them how to prepare an outstanding feast for a Sunday/Holiday Dinner! God Bless You!
Love you Maria! Your son Tony, daughter-in-law Donna, grandchildren & great grandchildren!
