Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Mark (my wonderful brother) knew what a special man he was. I have always put my brother up on a high pedestal and for good reason as he deserved to be there. I loved to listen to him speak and share his knowledge and views on music, politics, community affairs, travel, family, and anything else. If you had the good fortune of engaging in a conversation with Mark, you know what I mean. He was an engaging speaker who spoke from a place of honesty, sincerity, passion, and wisdom. I have included pictures of some of his engaging conversations and speeches.
Mark gave so much to his community and made a difference in the quality of life for so many. He was the best family man and overall wonderful person, that I have ever known. Mark was 9 years older than me and he was my role model. Each year starting when I was very young, I would write a birthday card with a long letter telling him how much I wanted to be the kind of person he was when I was older. I wanted the same type of loving marriage he had with Nadine and the same amazing family life he had with Mark and Jessica and later his grandkids. Mark was and is my role model and I strive to follow his vision and be the kind of family person he was. Mark was such a loving husband, amazing father, grandfather, brother, friend, and son for my parents. Mark and Jessica have grown into the same kind, loving, and amazing parents that Mark was. Mark has truly left a wonderful legacy. He will continue to live on through his family, friends, and the impact that he has had in the hearts, lives, and memories of so many. My love to Mark's amazing family. When I see you, I see my loving, wonderful brother.

My Sincere sympathies to Mark's family. I had the absolute honour/pleasure to have Mark as my executive director during the final years of my career at Children First.Mark was an incredibly skilled man, with amazing listening ability, able to give direction, offer advice and acknowledgement and encouragement. Mark also had a great sense of humour and we were able to joke about our Irish heredity. Mark will be greatly missed and remembered.
