My heart broke with utter sadness to hear of the tragic passing of Matt... I will miss our man-to-man talks in class, his energy to learn and will never forget his passion and inspiration for life. He has left a true lasting influence on my life and I am so blessed to have been apart of Matt's life, even for such a short time. My deepest and heart-felt condolences to his family and friends.

I have so many memories of Matt as a cute little boy when we lived on Turner. Always so happy with a smile that lit up his face and cheered those around him. My heart breaks for all those who loved him and I pray that you find peace.

My deepest sympathies to Matthew's family and friends! I have known Matt since he started at Roseland and attended every class, each year with my daughter, Megan. They were friends for many years! He was always at our house, sitting on the porch; making us laugh and smile! His personality and smile were both contagious! My deepest condolences go out to the Rawlings' family and friends. I only had the pleasure of working with him on a few projects and such, a few times over the course of our high school years, but that was enough to realize what a kind hearted, bubbly and amazing person he was. I can't remember a single time where I've seen him without a smile. I am deeply saddened by the circumstances, he was too young and too good of a person to go so early. I still remember on the night of our graduation when his name was called and the crowd went "MATTY MOOO"! He was, is and will always be loved and missed by all.
