Mida Dina Sarsfield (nee Miliucci)

With deep sadness and broken hearts we announce the passing of a wonderful woman. Loving wife of the late Robert (1979). Cherished mother and dear friend to DeeDee (Frederick) Tinsey, Anthony (Deborah) Sarsfield, Marianne (Nick) Giancarlo and Robert Sarsfield. Devoted and loving “Nonni” to Christina (Stuart) Davis, Frederick Tinsey IV, Robert (Michele) Tinsey, Lauren Janiga, Lindsay Janiga, Jaclyn Janiga, and Jeff Giancarlo. Adoring “Bis Nonni” to Declan and Finn Davis, Zoey Tinsey and Kayleigh Nelson. Daughter of the late Antonio and Assunta Miliucci. Dearest sister to the late Eugene Miliucci. Dear Sister-in-Law to Mary (Mariotti) Miliucci. Survived and loved by many nieces and nephews.

Mida was active in K of C Ladies Auxiliary #4386, Chaperone for the Canadian National Institution for the Blind, and Ladies Craft Guild at Corpus Christi Church. Mida had many hobbies and interests. She loved to read, knit, needlepoint, paint, and watch old movies and to take trips to Traverse City and sit by the lake.

She lived the last few years in the compassionate care of the kind staff at The Village at St. Clair. Mida just loved spending time with her family. She was so generous, loving and giving with her beautiful smile. Even though you're far away, we will forever hold you in our hearts.

In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Both Jean and I were very, very saddened to learn of the passing of this lovely lady. Our son, Stuart, joined the Tinsey family through his future wife, Christina, and we met Nonni at one of the earlier family gatherings. Christina introduced us to Nonni and for the longest time I truly thought that Nonni was her given name. The sweetness of Nonni showed through immediately. She was instantly friendly and showed genuine interest in us from that very first meeting. Her curiosity grew upon learning of my Irish heritage and we shared some nice moments covering our mutual green connections.

I became aware of one huge talent that Nonni had (painting) when I was called upon by Christina to frame an oil painting that Nonni had created. It was a beautiful piece of art and it was such a shame that Nonni never put her name to the work. However, I'm sure it will become a Davis family heirloom for Declan / Finn and beyond, to serve as a constant reminder of this beautiful family matriarch.
It was a joy knowing Nonni and we share in the sorrow of all those who knew her.
