Fond memories

I’ll remember grandma Pat for so many reasons. She was never afraid to share her opinion with me when I’d visit, whether it was telling me which girl I should date when showing her pictures from my prom, or telling me my long curly locks were great but the beard needed to go. She’d always chat a little Tiger baseball with me when my dad and I stopped by before or after a ballgame in Detroit for some Windsor-style pizza. We could never agree on whether or not Jim Leyland was any good as a manager. What’d you have against him Pat? I never saw anything that brought her more joy than when her 4 boys and their families all got together. What an amazing group of people - honestly some of the best anyone could ever ask to have for a family. I got to have lunch with Pat at the Fogolar club this past November when I came back for a quick visit to Ontario. I’m glad we got to spend that time together Grandma Pat. I’ll miss you and the one-of-kind person that you were.
