Condolences & Donations

I googled Ronald Ashworth today only to discover this sad news. He was my grade 5 teacher at Prince Edward and took our whole school skiing. That was the first time I ever went skiing and I will never forget that. He was a Bare Naked Ladies fan too and when I hear the songs they remind me of him. I will never forget Mr. Ashworth, he left a piece of him with all of us. I am very sad to discover his passing

Mr. Ashworth was my grade 5 teacher at Concord public school. He was an amazing teacher and had a big impact on my life. He would bring his guitar and we all would sing songs and he would have crazy dress up days where you made sure your clothes did not match. I have so many amazing memories of grade 5 because of him. He always put his students first. He was an inspiration to all of his students. We will all miss him

Greater Essex ETFO Golf tourney sends their condolences to a very passionate golfer and friend. Ron, will be missed by our golf group!! Ron has played in our annual golf tourney for the last 5 years as it started at Sutton Creek where Ron was the "starter". Most of my rounds started a little later because Ron and I would usually talk about golf and sports and I would miss my "tee off time." He was a great friend and a great golfer to our entire tournament and his group. Ron will be sadly missed and our thoughts and prayers go to his family. Jason Schneider

Bunking with Ron at Madawaska over the past few years was always enjoyable ... loved to hear him laugh when re-telling the events of his coaching session he just finished. Ron was one of the good ones and will be remembered through all our lives. Happy skiing my friend.

What a shock! I remember hugging Ron and saying goodbye as Madawaska Volleyball Camp ended this year on the Labour Day weekend. Ron had such agreat camp spirit and this year was one of the nominees for the Gord Hawkins Award which is given to a coach who exemplifies the spirit of Madawaska camp. I remember his participation in our Talent Show two years ago playing his electric guitar and singing those great rock and roll oldies. No wonder we called him Rockin' Ronnie! We will truly miss him at camp. He always provided his athletes with a great experience and they would leave camp loving their sport even more. I thank Ron for his long time commitment to Madawaska volleyball and I know that he will not only be remembered but his spirit will live on in the many players he impacted during his years with us.

Mr, Ashworth was my favorite teacher. He was filled with enthusiasm and passion. I have fond memories in grade five at Glenwood of Mr. A getting out his electric guitar and putting on mini concerts during class. Not only was he a great teacher but also an outstanding coach. Mr. Ashworth introduced me to the game of volleyball in 1992. I had the pleasure of being coached by Mr. A from grade five to eight. Today, I share my passion of learning and volleyball with the students that I teach and coach respectively. I strive to impact my students and athletes with the same greatness that Mr. Ashworth impacted me in my life so many years ago.
