Condolences & Donations

Dear Maria and family, I am shocked and saddened while reading the passing of your precious mother. While I have never met your mother I have this vision of her in her car waiting at Ste. Marguerite to pick up her grand daughter from school. I knew from the numerous times I saw her that she was a dedicated grandmother and obviously loved her daughters immensely. Pat and I are thinking of you and hope you take some comfort from the wonderful memories you have and the comfort of friends and family to help you through this difficult time. Regards, Trish and Pat Hickson

Dear Caroline and Lauren, We are so sorry to hear about Rose. She was such a wonderful person that was always a bright spot in everyone's life she came in contact with. Her vitality for life and her love of people are what made her so special. She was someone you wanted to be around to enjoy good times and good conversation, and to hope a little bit of her great attitude would rub off on you. We were lucky to have known her and we'll never forget her. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

It is with deep sadness we express condolence on the passing of Rose. It was always a joy to be in her presence as she volunteered in the kitchen at The Mission. She will always be remembered for her pleasant smile and her commitment for making a difference to those who find themselves in less fortunate circumstances. Her kindness, her encouragement and her understanding have brought light and comfort to many. May you be yourselves comforted in knowing that her caring and compassion have touched many lives and that she will continue to live in the memories of the great times you shared together. Dear Caroline and Lauren: I am at a loss for words to express my sincere, heartfelt condolences for you. I found this quote sent to me at the time I needed it comforting. "The angels are always near to those who are grieving, to whisper to them that their loved ones are safe in the hand of God." ~ Eileen Elias Freeman. I also believe His hands wrap around those of us on this earth to comfort us in our time of need. Thinking of you both. Kari

Caroline & Lauren: I wish that I could form words that would take away the sadness, heal the pain, comfort you in this time of heartache. Alas my mortal words are insufficient. And so I turn to God's immortal words in hopes to find a passage of solace for you. May you turn to Him to now and let Him embrace you with His love.... There Will Be No More Death: Revelation 21:1-5. 6-7 A reading from the book of Revelation I, John, saw a new heaven and a new earth. The former heaven and the former earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. I also saw the holy city, a new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Behold, God's dwelling is with the human race. He will dwell with them and they will be his people and God himself will always be with them (as their God). He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there shall be no more death or mourning, wailing or pain, (for) the old order has passed away." The one who sat on the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give a gift from the spring of life-giving water. The victor will inherit these gifts, and I shall be his God, and he will be my son." Amen
