Condolences & Donations

I had the pleasure of having Mrs. Coletti for Food and Nutrition in Vincent Massey a few years ago. She was a wonderful teacher and a kind presence at the school. My thoughts and prayers go to her family and friends.

I send my deepest condolences and I am so sorry for your loss. I knew Mrs. Coletti because I went to Villanova with Jessica. I also saw her pretty nearly every week at St. Angela where Jessica and her family and my mom, my sister, and I went to mass at the time. After church, my mom would always say hi to Mrs. Coletti and I would talk to Jessica. I attended birthday parties at Jessica' house and we worked on projects together for school at her place. Her mom would always be so kind and generous, offering me food, rides and taking a great interest in our projects for school. I always knew she was a loving mom and a kind, caring, and thoughtful person. I am so sorry to hear of her passing and I find myself thinking of those quiet, simpler days during these difficult times. I hope those days and days like those, bring your family comfort and solace during this time.

Dear Dino and family, God has taken a good woman, wife, mother and daughter from all of us. Sonia was a wonderful person and I will always think of her. I cannot express enough the pain I feel for you and your children. You are in my prayers.

Our hearts are breaking for all of you. She was a generous, gentle woman with a wonderful sense of humour, a kind heart and a creative imagination. We have missed her at Massey every single day of her absence as she waged this brave war against illness. I never had a conversation with her that left me less than cheerful and encouraged and I never made a request of her that she did not knock herself out trying to fulfill. She inspires me, even now. She loved to gather us together in any number to celebrate big things and little things and she threw herself into so many projects. I am reminded of the Prom she arranged, several years ago, with a Phantom of the Opera theme for which she engaged a professional singer to dress as the Phantom and sing for our students. It was enthralling. She loved to celebrate the new babies born to teachers in the building with baby showers she helped to arrange. She was so proud of her family and talked of her children all the time. We know she is loved by her family and she was loved here too. If only love were enough. Our deepest sympathies at this dark time, Jackie and Paul

Death is a nasty thing, it steal your loved one from you. One thing death cannot steal is your memories, your happy moments, the love and respect you shared, those are yours and NO ONE not even death can take it from you.
I'm praying for ALL of you that you may find comfort in the memories and may her love envelope you in an endless embrace, especially during those moments of anger and despair.

Sonia, your courageous and brave battle has finished. No more suffering. No more pain.
You are now clothed with God's Holy Glory...because His light already shone through you every single day, and all of us who have had the priviledge of knowing you, know it shone even in your pain.

I haven't known you as long as the other friends of ours...but one didn't have to know you for long to know you were in the presence of a saint.

Humility was your shield and your faith your weapon. Your smile was infectious and captivating.

This world lost a Saint, yesterday. Heaven has gained an Angel.
Please, Sonia, pray for us who are still battling in this valley of tears.

Will love you forever, and forever in my heart.
Rest in peace my friend.

To Dino, Jessica, Joey, Christina, Giacomo, Rob and all the rest of Sonia's family, I am truly and deeply saddened by Sonia's passing and cannot imagine your sorrow. From the day I met her approx. 12 years ago, Sonia was kind to me, welcoming me to Massey and quickly becoming a valued friend, confidante & colleague. She always spoke so highly and with such love of her entire family, and she'd do just about anything to help a friend, colleague, student, or just a person in need. In my case, she was one of very few people who helped me get through a pretty tough period in my life simply by having a ready ear, warm hugs & a few soothing words. She brought out the best in people and made them want to be better people. I hope that time, togetherness, reminiscing and supporting one another will help you through your grief, and eventually ease some of your pain. She has touched countless lives through her work, family, friends & religion, and her legacy lives on not only through her family, but also in the countless other lives she has touched. Sincerest condolences to all of you and God bless.
