Tim Ryan

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Tim on November 15, 2019 at 74 years of age.

Beloved husband of 51 years to his best friend Chris (nee Helinski). Cherished father of Sean (Melisa), Bridget Salt, and Tim (Shelley). Adored by his 13 grandchildren: Mackenzie, Liam, Molly, Quinn, Gracie, Emma, Jack, Peter, Bailey, Ally, Carter, Keigan and Finn. Predeceased by his parents Roy & Anne Ryan and his brother Roy “J” Ryan. Loving brother of Guy Ryan (Jean), Paul Ryan (Louise), and Cheri Long (the late Jim). Dear brother-in-law of Liz McDonald, Irene Helinski, Diane Helinski, and Rick Helinski (Deb). His quirky sense of humour will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Tim was a retired Constable of the LaSalle Police, a Special Constable for the Amherstburg Police and a former member of the Windsor Regiment. He was an avid computer enthusiast, he loved to travel and was always up for a road trip, especially if it involved a stop at a casino. No matter how bad the day was, Tim always had the ability to find humour and make others smile. When a grandchild needed to stay home sick from school, he was the first choice because they knew they would get unlimited TV and Ashton’s. He was affectionately known as “Gruber” (Grandpa Uber) for anyone who needed a ride anywhere. Our family will miss him dearly.

If you so desire, donations to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Visitation Monday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. and will continue on Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. at Families First, 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor (519)969-5841. Cremation to follow.
