Memories

My childhood is full of good memories of camping trips, New Year's Day Brunches and pool parties spent with the Murphy's and Burston's. We spent many summer weekend days together and I cherish those memories. The great thing about going to the Murphy's as a kid were two highlights obviously the pool and that also as soon as you got there Murf or somebody would say " Ace can I get you a beer?". Of course over time I wouldn't see the Murphy's as much as us kids all got older. The one constant through those years was Murf was driving somewhere. I was never surprised to hear Murf was headed to any and all possible locations in support of his kids. It was also during these years that the phrase "Ace can I get you a beer?" was replaced with "Ace can I get you a glass of wine." I can recall many Saturday's my dad spent making wine with the Murphy's later to be replaced by partaking in many wine tours. Finally with kids having moved out or away seeing everyone together was as difficult as ever. It seemed the only time I would see everyone is Christmas Eve or New Year's Day. I remember whenever I would see Murf he would say it would be great if Steph or I could make it to either. It goes without saying that Murf has been big part of my Dad and my family's life and has left a big imprint on it. He was great person, always glad to see you and always very welcoming to the Murphy house. Again my heartfelt condolences to the whole Murphy family. So many memories over the years and the final one I'll share is that I too have understanding that when you find the right pair jogging pants you never ever throw them out. Love, Tom & Steph
