Condolences & Donations

Brian, Your mother was a courageous woman and an inspiration to me. Because of her I continue to volunteer and teach literacy skills for Community Living Windsor. I remember your diligence as a worker for Elections Ontario when we worked together. Now you are so far from home. Contact me any time by email. Sue Marier

There are never enough words to describe how wonderful it was to have her in my life. The summers we spent together were the funniest I have ever had. They said I was so much like her growing up and I don't know anyone that I would rather be like. I will miss you Aunt Vi and will always hold my memories close to me. Thank you for that.

My sincere condolences. I have known Vi for many years and recently enjoyed playing darts with her on Friday nights. I went on several weekend trips with Vi through the Legion and thoroughly enjoyed her great sense of humour. Vi will be forever in our hearts.

I knew Vi only a short time through regular weekly dinners with my mom and her new friends but I am saddened by her passing. I knew her to be a sweet natured and strong spirited woman. I appreciate the companionship and understanding that she offered to my mother. It has helped my own mother so much to be with other widows since the passing of my father and I owe Vi my thanks for offering such comfort to her. My condolences to the family who have had great loss in such a short period of time. Sadly, I am unable to visit the funeral home, but my thoughts are with you and I hope that you may find some peace in this time of grief. Take care.

We are in shock hearing about our dear friends' passing. I (Bev) have known Vi since we were 18 yrs. old and have always kept in close touch, either by email, phone or frequent visits. On my last visit to Windsor in July, we had a lot of fun reminiscing about old times and laughing about the crazy things we did in the past. I really enjoyed seeing Chris and Stephen again and spent a great evening, over a delicious dinner prepared by Vi, sharing Stephen's plans to have his wife and Stepson join him soon. On many occasions, Vi told me how she adored her and Cliff's children and lived primarily for them. My sister and I were in awe at what a fighter she was and her will to survive astounded even her own doctor. I will treasure her special friendship forever. We send our heartfelt sympathy to her family and friends.
