Charlie Baird

On August 7th 2020 at 70 years of age. Charlie passed away peacefully with his beautiful wife Alice by his side. Proud father of their four children, Jennifer Baird, Charlie Baird, Peter Baird and Allison Tatomir (Tyson). And Donna Duffett-Jahnke (Bruce). Loved by his grandchildren Shawn, Emily, Isabelle and Xavier, Owen and Gwen, Logan, Dillan.

Charlie was a true artist when it came to the over 40 years that he spent roofing and siding. He became an alumni at Brentwood in 1982 and has worked as an addiction counsellor there for many years. He was told by Father Paul Charbonneau that he needed to be a servant, not a soldier. Charlie became and remained that servant.

If you so desire, donations made to Brentwood Recovery Home would be appreciated by the family.

On Monday August 10, 2020, reservations and personal face coverings are required to attend visitation from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. You can reserve your time for visitation at FamiliesFirst.ca (RSVP) or by calling directly. On Tuesday August 11, 2020, a private family service will be held at 11:30 a.m. by invitation only. Share memories, photos or make a donation at www.FamiliesFirst.ca

A live stream link of the Celebration of Life will be published below closer to the date of the service.

It is with a heavy heart, I am sending my sincere condolences to Charlies beloved family and friends. I was Charlies foster mother for a brief time here in Newfoundland. We still have the little wooden horse on top of the archway in our home, that Charlie made when he was only a little boy. I have shared cherished stories over the years of the brief time Charlie spent here with the family. He was a very special young boy who became and inspirational young man. We were very happy to know that Charlie found his way in life and gave so freely, the gift of his time. He will be forever loved and deeply missed. May you rest in peace Charlie.

Charlie is a true miracle. On earth he became one of Father's servants and spread light to all who knew him. Rest in peace Charlie. Father Paul's arms are waiting to greet you. Amen.

St Thomas Aquinas Great Teacher Of The Faith Said ..."That Grace Is, Nothing Else, But A Certain Beginning Of Glory Within Us"...This was Charlie to me Personally.. Despite the challenges that faced you and the brokenness of your life , Charlie always brought God's Grace to you and left you in a state of God's Glory knowing he Loved you....My Tears Are Many For The Family and My Departed Brother...
