Mrs. McCann was our chaperone to the World Amateur Golf Championships in Cali Columbia in 1987 (ish). She was so supportive and a real trooper especially in the tropical heat and humidity. She would come out every day to watch us golf and wore her full CLGA red uniform including nylons!!! We were more worried about her passing out in the heat than we were about our golf! She kept assuring us that she was fine and not bothered by the heat.
She was a great ambassador for women’s golf and admired by many. She will be missed.

You must be so proud of your dear old Mum, who was such a splendid lady and will be much missed. Valerie and I send our most sincere condolences and wishes at this very sad time.

My sympathy to your family Nancy. Your Mother sounds like an incredible lady. And you have done her proud. May your many memories comfort you today and always. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
