Loving Mémé of Linda (Clint) Burfitt, Aaron Lemire, Craig (Jenny) Piccinato, Kevin(Pam) Piccinato, Laura (Rob) Rieveley, Sarah Lock, Kyle Lemire and Korey (Courtney) Lemire. Great Mémé to Natalie, Dominic, Dante and Logan Piccinato, Owen and Megan Lock, Emerson Rieveley and Autumn Lemire. Daughter of the late Seville and Angelina Barrette. Survived by siblings Leonard Barrette, Edna Lanoue, Jean Rivard, twins Leona and Virginia Barrette as well in-laws Sharon, Lorraine, Rita Barrette, Peter Colautti and Norman Rivard. Pre-deceased by siblings Orval, Felix, Norman, Paul, Victor, Richard, John and Vincent Barrette, Agnes Fauteux, Rose O’Keefe and Deanna Colautti, as well as in-laws Helen, Delia, Betty, Theresa, Agnes and Sandy Barrette, Arlene Colautti, Alvin Fauteux, Lawrence Lanoue and Alvin O’Keefe.

Lorraine was the oldest daughter of 17 children, helping to raise such a large family. She loved her family deeply, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren baking cookies, having sleepovers and making batches of fresh Play Doh. She was an avid gardener known for her beautiful flower beds and spent countless hours watching the birds. There was never a Christmas dinner without her homemade Raviolis included, and her love of music always guided her to a dance floor.

The family wishes to thank the Seasons Retirement Community in LaSalle for their wonderful care for our mother for many years. Special thank you to the wonderful staff at Huron Lodge (Dogwood Section) for their compassion and care the last two years.

If you so desire, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society. A private family service will be held.

I saw her making ravioli dough once. It was quite a process.

I want to offer our sympathy to Lorraine's family. The Barrette twin sisters asked me to visit Lorraine, and I did it for her time in Huron Lodge. We had pastoral visits in the open tv area where we talked and prayed. She was always open to visits and prayers and she was kind to invite me back. Thank God for her life. We pray comfort for the family. - Pastor Bill from Parkwood Church -
