In memory of Rudy

In March Vern and I took Rudy and my mom Jackie to see the Shen Yun performance at the Michigan Opera House.  Neither had been feeling well for a bit and we weren’t certain the day was going to happen. They told us to give away their tickets.  Fortunately, we were blessed with good health that day. The sun was shining and everyone was in good spirits.

Rudy greatly enjoyed the show. His smile came easily and frequently throughout the performance. We had as much pleasure watching his enjoyment as watching the show.   Afterwards, Rudy suggested dining at the Lumberjack.  It was so good to watch everyone relish their meals around some good conversation.

It seems like such a simple thing, a show and dinner but it was the smiles, the positive energy that flowed. God blessed us with that day and we are grateful.

My children are in their 20’s and Rudy has been a part of our family for 19yrs. He was an important influence on them.  Emily, Matthew and Luke have been reminiscing about playing dice and bowling with Rudy.  He could offer them some real competition.

Rudy will be missed at my home.  We will all miss his hugs and his smile which came so easily. He gives great hugs.
